A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students within a Special Education cooperative serving multiple school districts in the Aurora, IL area. This contract position offers the chance to work in an engaging educational environment focused on students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities.
Responsibilities include providing direct speech-language therapy services to students within self-contained classrooms across various schools. Caseloads typically consist of 3 to 4 classrooms in Structured Learning Environment (SLE) programs, with approximately 6-8 students per class. The role demands full-time commitment, averaging 35 to 37.5 hours per week, and requires strong collaboration with educational teams to support individualized student needs.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement and an active Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not required; candidates in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will be considered
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in special education settings, is highly desirable
- Ability to deliver effective therapy within self-contained classrooms focused on Autism and Intellectual Disabilities
- Commitment to on-site presence; remote work is not available for this position

- Multiple schools including Willowbrook High School (Villa Park, IL), Addison Trail High School (Addison, IL), Maercker Intermediate School (Westmont, IL), and PrairieView Elementary School (Downers Grove, IL)
This contract extends through the current school year, with an anticipated end date around May 28th, 2025, subject to assignment location.
